In Q2 2024, the dining and restaurant sector on iOS in the United States saw varying levels of engagement across top applications. Sensor Tower's latest data offers insights into the performance of these apps.
McDonald's showed a steady uptick in downloads, starting at 277K in the first week of April and peaking at 337K towards the end of May. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a notable rise to 7.3M in the week of May 20th, before settling at approximately 7M by the end of June.
The Starbucks app also experienced growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 114K to a peak of 201K in early May, before experiencing a slight dip to 145K by June's end. Weekly active users peaked at 4.5M in early May and remained above 3.7M throughout the quarter.
Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery saw its downloads range from 116K to 157K, with the latter figure occurring in the week of May 27th. Active users showed a gradual increase, reaching a high of 897K in the same week, indicating a correlation between downloads and user engagement.
Chick-fil-A had a notable spike in downloads in mid-April, hitting 152K, before leveling out to around 127K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users steadily increased, rising from 1.3M to 1.34M over the three months.
Lastly, Domino's Pizza USA maintained consistent download figures, hovering around 107K to 128K, with active users peaking at 2.8M in late April. By the end of June, active users slightly declined to just under 2.64M.
